Sr Manager, Quality Engineering

- Lead Quality Engineering organization across Twitter, including consumer and revenue products.
-  Quality Engineering is comprised of Software Engineers in Test, QE Engineers, Test Engineers and Release Engineers.
-  Manage release process and engineers responsible for the deploys across iOS, Android, Web and a number of other product specific deploys.
-  Drive roadmap and strategy for improved efficiency of Quality Engineering and implementation of automation frameworks.
-  Work closely with all levels of the company to triage bugs, communicate release status and contents, flag timelines and be the voice of quality.
-  Manage a team of approx 25 offshore engineers for weekly regression and system wide changes.

-  Drive process initiatives to make Quality Engineering more proactive. Work with Product team to identify upcoming feature releases and identifying QE resources to work from design stage going forward.
-  Prioritise product testing. Identify critical areas and ensure testing coverage.
-  Work closely with Tooling & Frameworks to identify tooling needs for the QE team.

Twitter

Engineering Manager

Pitched and led the establishment of the company’s first-ever centralized quality team focused on quickly and systemically addressing production issues and urgent enhancements for implemented systems across more than 300 active clinical trials.
Built a high-performing team of six developers and test engineers fielding, researching and resolving over 200 complex systems issues monthly, effectively creating 20% capacity across all five account teams.
Developed and implemented processes, tools and strategies streamlining issue resolution, addressing root causes and informing future implementations – significantly improved overall quality and delivery as a result.
Created a comprehensive tracking tool documenting, prioritizing and categorizing all incoming issues providing account teams, sales leaders and executives with real-time access to critical quality data
