    Johnathan Brownlee is a renowned Canadian-American director, producer, writer, and actor known for his diverse international body of work viewed in over 100 countries and 14 languages.

    He has collaborated with esteemed talents like Helen Hunt, Angelina Jolie, Michael Douglas, and more, working in 20+ countries on various films, documentaries, and digital content.

    With a background in theater and film, Brownlee founded Torfoot Films to focus on writing and directing narrative features, starting with 'Three Days in August,' and is currently working on 'The Eyes of Jefferson' and 'Montserrat.'

    Aside from his filmmaking endeavors, Brownlee is classically trained in Toronto, NYC, and Boston and has performed in numerous Shakespeare plays on and off-Broadway as well as at The Metropolitan Opera.

    He has also shared his knowledge through teaching and lecturing at prestigious institutions like Harvard, NYU, and MIT, and served as the CEO & President of Dallas Film, overseeing the Dallas International Film Festival and creating the Veterans Institute for Film & Media (VIFM).

    Passionate about supporting the arts, Brownlee has been involved in various organizations including The Dallas Film Society, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, and the Veterans Institute For Film & Media.

    In addition to his impressive professional achievements, Brownlee has a background in stunt work, swordsmanship, and fight directing for stage and TV productions.

    He holds a Master of Fine Arts from Brandeis University, a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University, and studied film at NYU and York University.
