    John William O'Neill is a highly experienced archivist specializing in media preservation and artist archives. He has an extensive background in managing various collections, including Gary Hill’s single channel video works at the Getty Research Institute, nitrate film collections at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, and performance archives of the Bridge School. Currently known as 'The Archivist' at Neil Young Archives, he oversees the organization, preservation, and curation of a wide array of content including art, recordings, film, manuscripts, and historic documents. His pivotal role at Neil Young Archives was explicitly highlighted during the 2018 California fire threat when he led the rescue and reorganization of the entire archives.
