He holds a Diploma with honors from Bronx High School of Science, a Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with an additional course of study in Computer Science from Columbia University in the City of New York.

John has held prominent roles in renowned organizations, including serving as the Chief Development Officer for Corporate Engagement at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and previously as the Chief Development Officer at the International Center of Photography.

His illustrious career also includes positions such as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hunter College, Deputy Director of Corporate and Institutional Development at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Director of Development, Administration, and Information Services at the Professional Standards Review Council of America, Inc., and Associate Director of Development and Membership at The Museum of Modern Art.
