John Ward

John Ward is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong educational background in Information Management and Systems. He holds a Master of Information Management and Systems from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Information, a Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College, and has also studied at Germantown Friends School.

Currently, John serves as the Lead Software Engineer (Backend) at GLIDR. Previously, he held the role of Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at GLIDR and also worked as a Backend Python Engineer at Beyond. John has an extensive work history, having been a Software Engineer at OpenContext.org, Senior Professional Services Engineer at Recommind (now OpenText), a Graduate Student/Researcher at UC Berkeley, and a Teaching Assistant for Unix classes at UC Berkeley Extension. Additionally, he has experience as a Programmer/Analyst II at the Institute of Human Development and as a Web Developer for the Department of Architecture on a contract basis at UC Berkeley.
