John Thomas

John W. Thomas is a highly accomplished wireless technology professional with a diverse background across a variety of key roles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morehouse College, as well as a master's and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and The University of Texas at Dallas, respectively. Thomas is well-versed in several programming languages, including C/C++, Perl, Python, Java, Bourne/Korn/C Shell, Sed, Awk, MATLab, and Simulink, which he has used to develop proficiency in various operating systems such as OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris, Linux, Windows, and Android. His extensive knowledge of numerous protocols, including GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, VoLTE, VoIP, SON, RCS, OMA-DM, CMAS, SIP, IPv4, IPv6, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX, make him a highly valued asset to any organization working in wireless technology. He is an experienced troubleshooter and problem solver, highly resourceful, self-sufficient, and collaborative. His background includes senior and lead positions in companies such as Coolpad, Alcatel Mobile, and Motorola, as well as contract work with Nokia.
