John Venhuizen

John Venhuizen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ace Hardware Corporation, the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative and hardline distributor in the world.1 He has been with Ace Hardware for 29 years, serving in various leadership positions before becoming CEO in 2013.1

In addition to his role at Ace Hardware, Venhuizen is the Chair of the Board of Directors at The Global Leadership Network (GLN).24 The GLN is a community committed to developing leadership skills to ignite positive transformation.2 Venhuizen has served on the GLN board since at least 2020.3

Venhuizen has been recognized for his leadership, with Ace Hardware being named a Top Ten Workplace in Chicago for the last two years and a "Best and Brightest Company to Work For" in the country in 2018.3 He has shared his insights on servant leadership, mission beyond profit, and decision-making strategies in videos for the GLN.567
