John Tran is a highly experienced software engineer with a focus on building scalable backend microservices with observability, architecting cloud infrastructure using AWS, and developing high-performance JavaScript frontends. With seven years of professional coding experience and three years of leadership experience, John has demonstrated his ability to lead engineering teams to accomplish business milestones. He has worked for multiple organizations, including Brex, ONEHOPE Wine, ShipHawk, and UC Santa Barbara. John Tran has studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has been hacking game consoles since he was ten years old. As a co-founder and co-president of Ambience at UCSB and a Tet Festival, Lang Viet Nam Director Intern and Volunteer Coordinator at UVSA, John is also passionate about extracurricular activities.
