John Beynon

John Simone is an experienced Ruby on Rails developer with over 10 years of experience in the internet industry. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Material Science from the University of Wales.

Beginning his career in desktop support during the time of Windows NT4.0, John self-taught ColdFusion and transitioned to a web developer role at Berkeley Group, managing websites and servers for the property business.

He later worked at Monochrome, developing diverse projects from data dashboards to websites for renowned food brands, and operated the company's datacenter in London. John introduced Ruby on Rails for a more efficient development process, leading to successful project launches.

Moving on to Heroku, John took a support role and evolved into developing tools for customer-agent interactions, focusing on efficiency and data-driven decisions for positive outcomes. He has amassed skills in project management, communication, and development while working remotely for Heroku/Salesforce throughout his career.

Driven by a passion for technology, John constantly seeks learning opportunities and has acquired various certifications including Microsoft, Adobe, Salesforce/Heroku, and Google Classroom Educator. He actively volunteers at his Sailing club through Salesforce's 1:1:1 program, managing the disabled sailing school and facilitating sailing sessions for differently-abled sailors on adapted boats.
