John Shutt is a seasoned software engineer, blockchain solutions architect, and team leader with more than a decade of experience in building advanced blockchain applications and working for Silicon Valley startups. He acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at Florida State University. Shutt has worked as a Senior Blockchain Solutions Architect at EY and as a Co-Creator at Oya Protocol. He has also founded and led several successful organizations, including Dustbowl Labs, BayLeaks, and MadSwag, which helped him develop an in-depth understanding of product management, team leadership, and public policy consulting.

Shutt is currently working as a Senior Engineer at UMA. He has not only built and assessed advanced blockchain solutions but also led global development teams to create multiple public and private blockchain projects that are now operational in production. Besides his technical expertise, he also has an educational background in creative writing and worked as a reporter at All City News, News and Content Director at Planet Halo, and several other reporting and news-related roles.
