CEO at Gene And Cell Technologies
John Schloendorn is the CEO and founder of Gene And Cell Technologies, a company he established in 2013. With a PhD from the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, he has a strong background in biotechnology and biomedical gerontology.1
Before founding Gene And Cell Technologies, Schloendorn served as the CEO of ImmunePath, a regenerative medicine startup focused on developing immune cell therapies from embryonic stem cells from 2009 to 2012. Although ImmunePath achieved positive pre-clinical results, it ultimately closed due to funding challenges.12 Additionally, he was the Director of the SENS Foundation’s intramural Research Center from 2006 to 2009, where he oversaw various projects related to aging and enzyme therapies for age-related diseases.13
Schloendorn is recognized for his contributions to the field of biotechnology, particularly in cellular aging and gene therapies. He has authored several publications and holds multiple patents, reflecting his active involvement in advancing scientific research.3 Originally from Germany, he holds a Green Card under the National Interest Waiver program, which allows technology leaders deemed beneficial to the U.S. to reside and work in the country.12
