John S. Hollemon III, M.A. is a highly experienced and dedicated individual in the field of Higher Education. With almost a decade of experience, he has worked with students from K-12 to college, in both public and private schools. He has extensive experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including rural and urban, small and large, and traditional and alternative education settings. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a major in Communication Studies and minors in Black Studies and Asian Studies. He also holds a Master’s in Executive Leadership (Business Management Concentration) from Liberty University.

Currently, he serves as Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Chief Diversity Officer at Hampden-Sydney College. In his role, Mr. Hollemon is strongly committed to community work aimed at improving access to and success in higher education for students from minority backgrounds. He is deeply passionate about teaching culturally relevant pedagogy, critical race theory in Higher Education and exploring factors that impact the educational experiences and retention of minority student populations, with a special focus on Black/Latin X minority groups.

Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions in higher education, including Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Associate Dean Of Students for Residence Life, Equity and Inclusion, Associate Dean Of Students for Housing and Residence Life, Director of Residence Life, Coordinator of Confetti's Student Lounge, and Residence Hall Educator, among others.

Aside from his successful career in higher education, Mr. Hollemon is available for consulting, lecturing, and keynote speaking engagements on various topics, such as fraternity and sorority life, minority mentorship, servant leadership, first-generation college students, masculinity, diversity, and inclusion.
