John Ryu

John Ryu is the Founder and General Partner at Hypothesis, a startup studio and pre-seed fund that partners with mission-driven founders to develop early-stage startups.12 He has extensive experience in venture capital and company building, having held various roles in the industry. In addition to his role at Hypothesis, John Ryu is also the Chief Financial Officer at Simplify Asset Management, a position he has held since June 2021.12 He co-founded Assurely and has been involved with Scout Ventures as a Partner and Board Partner, where he assisted portfolio companies with business development, marketing, recruitment, and product innovation.124 John Ryu's educational background includes studies at Yale University.13
