John Phan

John Phan is a seasoned professional currently holding the role of Chief Financial Officer at Infinite Composites, a pioneering carbon fiber manufacturing company focused on developing cutting-edge gas storage systems for space exploration.

With a diverse background in the tech industry, John has been a founder and executive at five tech startups spanning consumer Internet, telecom, and enterprise SaaS sectors. Additionally, he provides valuable product advisory services to startups, particularly those specializing in online marketplaces.

Educationally, John earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of British Columbia, where he distinguished himself as a Rosmary Janet Bawden Scholar. Prior to this, he completed a Master of Arts in Economics at The University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Victoria.

Before transitioning into the startup world, John honed his financial and strategic skills at RBC Capital Markets, where he worked on fixed income and foreign exchange trading desks, focusing on interest rate strategy and macroeconomic research.

In addition to his professional endeavors, John Phan is an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed two Ironman triathlons, multiple marathons, and ultramarathons. His dedication to athletic pursuits mirrors his discipline and commitment in the business world.
