John Rudolph Mueller

John Rudolph Mueller is the Head of Curriculum & Instruction at Local Civics, an education technology platform focused on civics education.13 He joined Local Civics in 2019 and manages the company's school and district partnerships, helping to scale their impact.24

Mueller has a background in education, with over 8 years of experience as an educator in the New York City Metropolitan area.12 He received his BA in Psychology from Cornell University.12 During his career, Mueller has designed and refined specialized curricula for students at Bronx Bridges High School, including individualized instruction for English Language Learners and Students with Learning Disabilities.12

In his role at Local Civics, Mueller is passionate about providing high-quality, engaging civics instruction.5 He believes that civics education is crucial for developing informed and active citizens. Local Civics utilizes an evidence-based curriculum to help students develop civic mindsets, build civic skills, and take civic action.3
