John Meyers

Impact finance, private sector specialist.

John Meyers is a seasoned specialist in private sector engagement, public-private partnerships, and blended finance with over 20 years of experience in developing financing partnerships across impact investing, philanthropy, NGOs, and development finance.

He has served as Private Sector Engagement lead for USAID contractors and worked as a Consultant on inclusive growth, private sector development, impact investing, and blended finance for various development agencies, NGOs, and the impact financing sector.

Formerly, John held leadership positions such as Managing Director - North America and Executive Director at Swisscontact, a Swiss-based NGO operating in over 35 emerging market countries, with an annual revenue exceeding $100M.

His public engagements include moderating discussions, participating in conferences, and contributing to panels on topics such as sustainable agriculture, philanthropy, US development finance, supply chain assurance, and impact investing across various platforms including the United Nations, Kota Alliance, and Concordia Annual Summit.

John Meyers has also been actively involved in boards and committees, including serving as the Past Board President of Impact Capital Forum and on the Executive Committee of Community Foundation for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

In addition to his extensive professional engagements, John has contributed to various fellowship programs, steering committees, and initiatives focused on youth employment, microfinance, and impact investing.

He has an educational background that includes a B.A. from the American University of Paris, an M.A. from Columbia University in the City of New York, and an MLS from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick.

Throughout his career, John has held roles in organizations such as Panagora Group, Meyers Global + Associates, Planet Partnerships, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Aid to Artisans, World Affairs Council of Connecticut, and Lawyers Without Borders in positions ranging from Director to Executive Director.
