John Matarese is a well-known consumer reporter with a passion for helping people make informed purchases and avoid scams. With over two decades of experience, he has worked for numerous TV stations across the US, including in Cincinnati, Washington DC, Houston, Tampa, Palm Beach, and Baltimore. Matarese studied English Literature (British and Commonwealth) at the University of Vermont, which gave him an eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively with his audience. He currently works for E.W. Scripps as a consumer reporter, where his goal is to help as many viewers as possible save money, avoid bad deals, know a rip-off when they see one, and be educated consumers.
