John-Mario Sevilla is a highly experienced dancer, choreographer, and educator with a diverse academic background and a rich history in the field of dance.
He holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master of Arts (MA) in Arts and Dance Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Throughout his career, John-Mario has been affiliated with prestigious organizations and institutions. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
His previous roles include being a Dancer, Choreographer, and Teacher under his own entity, as well as holding positions such as Director of Dance Education Laboratory at the Harkness Dance Center and Performance and Professional Development at 92nd Street Y.
John-Mario Sevilla has also showcased his talents as a Dance Captain and Dancer at Pilobolus Dance Theatre, a Director of Education, and Manager of School Programs at the New York City Ballet, and a Former Dancer and Dance Captain at Pilobolus Dance Theater.
