John Mancini is the Director of the Writing and Reporting Program, as well as the Editor of NYCity News Service at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.

With a well-rounded background in journalism, John Mancini has held various key roles at reputable media organizations including Quartz, NBC News, Associated Press, NY1 News, Newsday Media Group, New York Post, and Long Island Voice.

Prior to his current position, John Mancini served as the Global News Editor at Quartz, the Senior Director of Digital Newsgathering at NBC News, and the Global News Manager at Associated Press, gaining extensive experience in news editing, digital journalism, and managing news operations.

John Mancini's career also includes roles as an On-Air Reporter at NY1 News, Editor and Executive Vice President at Newsday Media Group, Assistant Managing Editor/New York at Newsday Media Group, Metropolitan Editor at New York Post, and Editor in Chief at Long Island Voice.
