John Luther

John Luther is a professional with a diverse background spanning career counseling, musical theatre, social work, and psychotherapy. He is currently a Career Development Coordinator at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan, while also actively involved in directing and choreographing musical theatre productions across southeast Michigan.

With expertise in resume writing, portfolio preparation, cover letter writing, alumni and recruiter relations, event organization, and career development presentations, John Luther excels in providing comprehensive career guidance and support.

He holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on Interpersonal Practice from the University of Michigan and pursued a Special Honors Curriculum in Sociology/Anthropology at Hunter College.

John Luther has held various roles in prestigious organizations such as the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, where he previously served as an Academic Advisor. His experience also includes directing and choreographing at renowned theatre companies like Stagecrafters, Players Guild of Dearborn, and Windsor Light Music Theatre.

Prior to his current position, John Luther worked as a Psychotherapist at the Livonia Counseling Center and Washtenaw County Community Mental Health. He also provided career advising at the University of Michigan Career Center covering disciplines including pre-health, pre-law, and general career guidance.
