Worked closely with over 25+ entrepreneurs to build their early-stage startups from conception to a minimum viable product (MVP).  Supported their project development efforts and acted as a mentor and CTO; providing growth and technology strategies.  Operational responsibilities include: 
- Business Development: Regional networking with entrepreneurs (TCNewTech, A2NewTech, SPARK, University of Michigan, Wayne State University), Responsible for initial client interviews, business and technical ideation for startups, and estimation creation.
- Project Leadership: Responsible for delivery of all MVP projects.  Under my leadership, my team helps by iterating the MVP while the startup grows into a viable company.
- Team Leadership: Manage teams to ensure projects are properly executed.  Responsibilities include project kickoff, requirements definitions, project management, resource management, and technical support.   Ultimately, I provide a quality project delivered at a reasonable price with appropriate margins.
- Client Relationship Management: I Build the relationship with the Client from the initial meeting to mitigating issues as they arise.  I act as their main escalation point to ensure the MVP and subsequent iterations meet their expectations and problems are mitigated quickly. 
- Human Resource Management: Worked with recruiters to interview and hire senior developers.  Managed payroll and other HR responsibilities.

Director of Operations

Led the Product Development Department (Technology Team, Course Development Team, and Customer Service) and PD leadership team in all aspects of leadership, management, and accountability (LMA).  Created high-performing and accountable teams by hiring exceptional professionals, providing close team mentorship, empowering team members to make decisions, and eliminating poor team behavior.

   - Created and executed overall Product Development Strategy with a $2.5M budget.  

   - Acted as the Agile Coach during the transformation from waterfall to the Agile / Scrum development methodology. Also, improved all aspects of product and project delivery from development processes to automating quality assurance to release management.  

   - Implemented Lean Startup processes to focus team on product validation & organizational learning.  

   - Directed, mentored, and provided department vision for a team of 20+ professionals (Project Managers, Developers, User Experience Designer (UX), Graphic Designer, Business Analyst, QA, Linguists, Customer Support Technicians).  

   - Maintained an average Customer Satisfaction rating of 97% and time to first contact of 15 hours (industry average is 24 hours) within the Customer Service Team.

   - Increased end user engagement and usage by over 50% in 6 months by implementing Google Analytics within web and mobile apps and building an improved user experience across all three platforms.

   - Implemented paired programming rotation within the Technology Team to improve cross-application training and productivity.

   - Led the technical development and launch for the innovative film-based language learning product called Mango Premiere.

   - Go to proposal writer / estimator for all client RFPs estimated over $1M.

Reorganized a Digital Media department.  Department was focused on delivering interactive media and mobile solutions for the marketing and live events arenas.  Digital solutions include mobile applications, digital signage, custom lead generation software, experiential marketing applications, custom web development, media & content development, and national digital signage installations. 

- Managed department’s P&L and improved the unpredictable gross profit margin (gpm) (including losses) in 2010 to an overall gross profit margin of > 25% in 2012.

- Successfully deployed and managed over 20-plus interactive media events for Samsung Android smart phone launches (Note 2, Note 10.1, Galaxy S III, Note, Infuse, Galaxy Tab) across multiple live events (Glee Summer Tour, Samsung Summer Krush Concert Series, 2010 & 2011 Cotton Bowl, NY Fashion Event, GS3 Launch Events in NY & LA with an 8 Market / 10 week summer event tour).  

- Reorganized and streamlined the Digital Media Department.  Provided clarity of purpose by prioritizing initiatives and providing a disciplined approach to project execution and resource management. 
	
- Rolled out Agile / SCRUM processes improving overall resource and process efficiencies.  Results included improved cross-team communication, high-quality deliverables, and lower production costs.

- Developed strong client relationships by ensuring deliverables met client expectations.  Because of short delivery timelines, we implemented a pre-production prototyping process to validate feasibility of projects early in the planning phase.  By doing so, we reacted early and quickly to technology issues and were able meet client requirements.

Managed all aspects of project delivery and resource allocation for Doner’s Digital Project Management Department.  Established departmental guidelines.  Created and reviewed project estimates.  Managed vendor relationships and led key digital initiatives.

- Directed a department consisting of 6 Digital Project Managers responsible for delivering 15–20 ongoing interactive media projects. 

Created and implemented Doner’s digital project management methodology and supporting processes across an integrated, full-service agency.  

- Directed a cross-departmental taskforce (Strategy, Creative, Media, Production, and Account Management) to define Doner’s digital project management methodology. 

- Created and developed project management processes and templates.

- Implemented digital process throughout the agency by conducting training sessions, providing continual process sponsorship, and offering mentorship to new project teams.

Managed and delivered the award-winning Facebook application DriverVille (facebook.com/DriverVille) and game sweepstakes for the 2011 US and Canadian launch of the MAZDA2 vehicle line.  

- Managed an 8–12 member multinational team and 2 software vendors that delivered the social networking game in two months.

- Project deliverables included the Facebook application, Online Advertising, Facebook banners, and an externally hosted sweepstakes contest. 

- Utilized web analytics, Facebook analytics, and in-game performance statistics to develop future strategy and release features for the game.

Delivery Director managing the complex Leo Burnett account for iCrossing with annual account revenue of over $7,000,000.  Managed client relationship, project delivery, and resource allocation supporting the #1 rated CPG website (Marlboro.com).  Managed and improved the overall P&L by hitting specific gross margin targets.  

- Improved account gross profit by 5% from 47% to 52% by effectively managing resource timesheets and overall project resource allocations.  

- Managed and communicated account gross profit including expected revenue, labor cost, and other direct costs to iCrossing management. Created and obtained approval for client contracts.  Created and developed SOWs for iCrossing account contracts and internal Leo Burnett projects.  

- Managed a senior-level, cross-discipline team of 26 iCrossing resources supporting the Leo Burnett account.   Responsible for effective management of all projects, the efficient use of resources, and the consistent delivery of high-quality client deliverables.  

- As senior manager, mentored iCrossing and Leo Burnett project managers within the Leo Burnett Digital Exchange Organization.

- Acted as internal point of escalation within the Leo Burnett Organization for all delivery issues related to client engagement.  Ensured compliance to all corporate delivery guidelines and processes.

- Managed the execution for Marlboro.com website Summer Releases (4 projects, 5 deployments).  Delivered projects on time and on budget.  Negotiated and controlled project scope to ensure project profitability.

Successfully managed a 25+ member Business Analyst center-of-excellence responsible for staffing BA resources for all web development projects.  

- Created a BA center-of-excellence by reengineering the BA delivery process from a web-centric to a digital marketing approach.  Implemented an iterative RUP-based delivery process company-wide, established best practices, and managed a 26-member national team.

- Provided oversight and domain expertise for all web-development sales pursuits, staffing needs, and delivery projects ensuring consistency of approach, ability to deliver, and a high-level of client satisfaction.

- Defined and implemented BA staffing model supporting all sales pursuits, SOWs, and project estimates.

- Exceeded billable utilization rate of 93% with a 95% utilization and surpassed company retention goal of 75% with 87.5% retention over 2 years by building a client-focused center-of-excellence.

- Senior Business Analyst and leader for creating the Business, Functional, and Non-Functional requirements for GM’s Online Retail Experience for Consumers (gm.com and Divisional Sites).   

- Facilitated 60 hours of JAD sessions with GM’s Consumer Relationship Managers.

Senioir Business Analyst

Managed client relationships with combined annual revenue of over $4,000,000 that included 2 OEMs, a large dealer enterprise, and a marketing organization.  Interfaced across all levels of GM management.  

- Eliminated $1.7 million in overaged client accounts receivable in first 4 months in position by establishing a timely payment process.  Once implemented, maintained 90% of all invoices being current.

- Helped sell DMi’s vehicle sales data to GM.  This data provided GM with sales data aggregated to the dealer marketing area level.

- Responsible for overall client relationship for General Motors (DMi’s largest account), Chrysler Corp., AutoNation, and Aspen accounts.  Acted as client advocate within DMi to ensure success for all projects or mitigate issues that could impact project success.  Interfaced at multiple levels within the client’s organization and acted as the chief point of escalation for all issues.

- Maintained active summaries of all clients available for the DMi executive team at all times.  Monitored and communicated external factors and risks that affected DMi’s relationship with the client.

Digital Motorworks, LLC

Account Director

Complete redesign of the Certified Used Vehicle (CUV) application, which consolidated 7 of 9 certification programs.  This application continued to be a GM global standard in 2010.  In 2001, the original system supported 23,000 certifications.  The redesigned system continues to support over 420,000 automated certifications.

- Developed and then delivered a 3-year technology road map for the GM-Certified Used Vehicle Program.  

- Re-engineered the CUV IT architecture and IT Processes to support expansion and growth of the Brand.  Re-engineered a semi-automated client server architecture to a fully automated web-enabled System used by over 4800 dealers nationwide.
