John Harthorne is the Founder and Managing Director of Two Lanterns Venture Capital, a seed fund investing in software startups in the US and Israel.24 He founded Two Lanterns in November 2019 and is currently managing a $25.5 million fund, with plans to launch a second fund of $30-40 million in 2025.3
Prior to Two Lanterns, Harthorne was the founder and CEO of MassChallenge from May 2009 to February 2019.4 MassChallenge became one of the largest startup accelerators globally, supporting thousands of startups across multiple countries.12 Under his leadership, MassChallenge's alumni raised over $8.5 billion in funding and created over 185,000 jobs as of early 2021.2
