John Gill, CFE
President, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
John Gill, CFE, is the President of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), appointed to this position in July 2023.23 He has a long history with the ACFE, joining the organization in 1995 as its first general counsel.13 Throughout his career at ACFE, Gill has held various roles, including:

Gill is a co-author of the Fraud Examiners Manual and a regular contributor to Fraud Magazine.1 He developed the CFE Exam Review Course in 2006, which he has taught on six continents.1

Gill is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Austin Chapter of ACFE, Phi Beta Kappa, and the State Bar of Texas.15
Before joining ACFE, Gill worked as an associate attorney at Bragg, Chumlea, McQuality, Smithers & Curry, P.C. from 1989 to 1995, focusing on civil practice involving consumer fraud, deceptive trade practices, insurance fraud, and general litigation.4
