Rev. Dr. John R. Faison, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Watson Grove Baptist Church (The Grove), a multigenerational, multisite church in Nashville, TN and Franklin, TN.

Dr. Faison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University, a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Payne Theological Seminary.

With over 25 years of ministerial experience and military service as a decorated US Army officer, Dr. Faison is known for his dynamic and impactful communication of the Gospel.

Beyond his role as a pastor, he is the Founder/CEO of John R. Faison Ministries, LLC, President of The Grove Community Development Corporation, and actively involved in various educational and leadership institutions.

Dr. Faison is also an adjunct professor and doctoral mentor at Payne Theological Seminary, a member of several boards, and affiliations with prestigious fraternities. He is a proud father of three children.
