John Ellis is a full-stack Ruby on Rails developer with a unique background in graphic design, web design, photography, and software engineering. He holds a Certificate in Commercial Photography from Portfolio Center and has worked in various roles, including Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineering Manager, for Science Exchange, a scientific research platform. John's experience working on diverse projects, from data modeling to typography, has made him an expert on third normal form and SASS styles. He's also a former Studio Manager for award-winning photographer Jay Maisel and a co-captain of The Democratic Travelers. Currently, John is a Senior Software Engineer at Mystery.org, where he ensures that end-user perspectives are always taken into account.
