John Dwyer is a serial healthcare entrepreneur who first became a CEO at the age of 30. Over his career, he has held executive roles in several emerging growth companies within the healthcare industry. Notably, he co-founded Telcare, Inc., which developed the first wirelessly enabled blood glucose meter, and CodeRyte, Inc., a company that utilized natural language processing for medical billing software.1 2 5 Both companies were later acquired by larger corporations, with Telcare being sold to Philips and CodeRyte to 3M.

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Dwyer co-founded Us Against Alzheimer’s, a patient advocacy group focused on transforming how Alzheimer’s is addressed in the U.S., and the Alzheimer’s Action PAC, which was the first political action committee dedicated to a specific disease.1 2 5

Dwyer graduated from Marquette University and later earned a law degree from Cornell Law School. He began his professional career as an attorney at Arent Fox LLP in Washington, D.C., specializing in transactions within regulated industries.1 5
