His expertise lies in a wide array of technologies including Ruby, Rails, Go, Swift, and JavaScript. Additionally, he is well-versed in engineering leadership and management, showcasing his proficiency in not just technical skills but also in guiding and overseeing teams effectively.

John pursued his Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Carleton University, laying a strong foundation for his career in the tech industry.

Prior to his time at Shopify, John has worked in several notable organizations such as PatientWay, Overlay.TV, and CleanCode, where he honed his skills as a software developer and gained valuable experience in the field.
