John Damask

John Damask is a seasoned professional with a passion for creating lasting value from scratch and fostering the growth of healthy and dynamic teams. His expertise spans a wide range of skills including leadership, managing global teams, value creation and delivery, IT Service Management and Operations, Amazon Web Services (AWS), data and software architecture, coding in multiple languages, bioinformatics with a focus on proteomics, and IoT and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies.

Currently serving as the Vice President of Data & Systems Engineering at Flagship Pioneering, John has an extensive background in top-tier organizations. He previously held the position of Global Head of Cloud at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) and has also served in various roles at NIBR including Group Head Biological Data Management, Scientific Technical Lead, and Bioinformatics Scientist. Prior to these roles, he founded Damask Solutions, LLC and worked as a Senior Network Analyst at Genetics Institute.
