    John Burrows, a conservation advocate and environmental educator, hails from Western North Carolina, where his passion for the environment was ignited.

    He pursued his academic journey at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies. Later, he furthered his studies at Duke University, specializing in Forestry and Ecosystem Science, Environment, and Natural Resources, earning a Master of Environmental Management degree.

    Drawing from his diverse educational background, John has been actively involved in various organizations and roles. He has served as a Conservation Advocate at the Wyoming Outdoor Council, highlighting his commitment to preserving public lands and wild spaces.

    His previous experiences include working as the NOLS Environmental Stewardship Coordinator, where he played a pivotal role in promoting responsible outdoor practices and conservation efforts. Additionally, he has contributed to conservation initiatives as a Conservation Forestry Intern at The Forestland Group.

    John's dedication to environmental education is evident through his past roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Duke Nicholas School for the Environment and as a Field Instructor at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). His involvement as a Research Analyst Intern at Capital-E Green Technology Investment Firm showcases his versatile skill set and interest in sustainable practices.

    Currently based in Lander, Wyoming, John continues to advocate for the sustainable management of public lands and the importance of experiential learning in the outdoors, embodying his commitment to conservation and education.
