John Boyer

John Boyer is a veteran journalist and media educator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Communications from City University of New York-Hunter College and studied German Language at Defense Language Institute. With over two decades of experience in the media industry, Boyer has worked as an Associate Producer at both WQED/Pittsburgh and WNYC-TV/CITYSCOPE, Director of Network Operations at HITN - Hispanic Information, and Telecommunications Network, Director of Development at Global Critical Media Literacy Project, Executive Director at N3TV, and Senior Producer at On Television, Ltd. He has also served as Co-Founder of ONEBLUE.ORG and the Media Stewards Project, Co-Convener of Rules Change: The DC Gathering, Executive Director of N3TV, and Board Member of Action Coalition for Media Education (ACME). Boyer is a member of the Northern Virginia Climate Coalition and has previously served as Public Advocate at American Promise Virginia Chapter, Member of Virginia American Promise Chapter, and Media Education Laboratory at Rutgers University - Newark. He has great expertise in media education, journalism, development, and critical media literacy.
