John Boyd

John Boyd is an experienced Structural Analyst with a background in the Defense & Space industry.

He possesses strong skills in Stress and Structural Dynamic Analysis using Ansys and Abaqus, specializing in Filament wound pressure vessels, COPV's, and viscoelastic materials.

His expertise extends to PTC Creo, Fortran, and SolidWorks.

John holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from UC Davis, complemented by a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from CSU Sacramento.

Within his professional journey, John has held notable positions such as Section Manager Advanced Aerothermal Structures at Raytheon Technologies, Section Manager Analysis and Test at the Sacramento office of Raytheon Technologies, Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, and Structural Analysis Engineer at BLUE ORIGIN.

Previously, he has contributed as an Engineering Specialist at Aerojet Rocketdyne, a Mechanical Engineer at FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics, and a Senior Engineer at Aerojet.
