John Bouma was a prominent attorney and former chairman of the law firm Snell & Wilmer. He joined the firm in 1962 and quickly advanced, becoming a partner within four years.5 Bouma's legal practice focused on complex commercial litigation, including areas such as antitrust, commercial and business torts, and financial institutions.2 He served as the chairman of Snell & Wilmer for over 30 years before stepping down in March 2015.4 Tragically, John Bouma passed away on January 23, 2019, after being hit by two vehicles in Phoenix.136
