His proficiency in storage architecture and technology solutions extends beyond his current role; prior to this, he served as the Managing Technologist at Seagate Technology, where he spearheaded transformative projects that solidified the company's position as a leader in the storage industry.
Before joining Seagate Technology, John made his mark as the Global Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at DDN Storage, contributing to advanced storage architectures that support large-scale data management and processing needs. His experience as the Director of Storage Architecture at Cray Inc. further showcases his expertise in high-performance computing and innovative technology solutions, positioning him as a thought leader in the field. Additionally, John exhibited his technical leadership as Chief Architect at Seagate Government Solutions, where he worked on projects catering to government and military clients, focusing on robust data protection and storage solutions.
John’s impressive career also includes significant tenures as an HPC Storage Architect at EMC, and as a Technical Staff Member at the esteemed Los Alamos National Laboratory. His scientific background and technical skills have enabled him to engage in groundbreaking research and development initiatives, shaping the future of data storage technology. Throughout his career, John has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in technology development, as well as a willingness to support community service, having volunteered with the Peace Corps, where he applied his knowledge in various capacities to assist communities in need.
