John Balbach

John Balbach is a professional with a diverse background in public policy, academia, development, and strategic consulting.

He holds a Masters of Public Policy in International Security Policy from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the same institution.

Throughout his career, John has held various prominent roles in different organizations. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, Senior Associate Vice President for Principal Gifts at the University of Chicago, and Senior Executive Director of Advancement at the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan.

Additionally, he has had experience in campaign management and regional advancement, having served as the Director of Campaigns and Regional Advancement at the College of Engineering and the Director of Development for Major Gifts at the University of Michigan.

John Balbach also has a political background, having worked as the Michigan Coalitions Director for the John McCain 2008 presidential campaign.

Before transitioning into the academic and development sector, John Balbach served as a Military Intelligence Officer and Armor Officer in the United States Army, bringing a unique perspective to his diverse skill set.
