John Bains

John Bains is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Mountain Town Development, a company focused on creating luxury affordable housing in mountain communities. His mission is to enhance local communities by providing modern, aesthetically pleasing homes that address the critical shortage of affordable housing in these areas.1

Before establishing Mountain Town Development, Bains was the CEO and Co-Founder of a prominent molecular diagnostics company in the United States, where he significantly expanded the business from a two-person team to over 120 employees. He possesses extensive experience in starting, scaling, and exiting companies, which has equipped him with valuable insights into the real estate industry.12

Bains holds degrees in Finance and Economics from Southern Methodist University and has a keen interest in outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking, as well as spending time with his family.13
