Johari Ishak is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in Oracle database administration, out of which 8 years were spent as a lead DBA.

His expertise lies in performance tuning encompassing instance, SQL, application, and server tuning.

Johari has extensive experience in troubleshooting and tuning production servers utilizing various tools and methods for monitoring and performance enhancement, such as Database Replay, Baseline Creation, AWR, ASH, ADDM analysis, SQL Performance Analyzer, Real Application Testing, and custom scripting.

He is proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, form builder, and report builder, with a strong grasp on database performance monitoring, diagnostic and tuning, backup and recovery, as well as user and security management.

Moreover, Johari possesses substantial knowledge in planning, troubleshooting, and optimizing backup and recovery, High Availability Architecture (RAC & DATAGUARD), Database Architecture & Implementation, Data Models, Database design, Normalization & System study.

Being an expert in Support and Maintenance, shell scripting, capacity planning, HA, Backup & Recovery, and advanced performance tuning, he has implemented various Oracle technologies including DATAGUARD, RAC, STREAMS, RMAN, Advance Replication(MV), and Oracle Migrations spanning from 8i to 11g.

Johari has undergone specialized training in performance tuning 11g module (OCE) and aims to pursue training in OCE Backup and Recovery module for further skill enhancement.

His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Majoring in Software Engineering from University Putra Malaysia and certifications in Oracle Performance Tuning 11gr2 and Database Design from Oracle University.

As an Oracle DBA, he has experience in Operation, Project, and Maintenance DBA roles, making him confident in delivering tasks both independently and collaboratively.
