Johannes van der Loo is a seasoned professional in viral vector GMP manufacturing, with over 18 years of experience in the field.
He has been actively involved in the development, scale-up, and large-scale manufacturing of vector products for IND-enabling studies, specializing in AAV, gamma-retroviral, and lentiviral vectors.
Currently serving as the Director of the Clinical Vector Core at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, he oversees the production of viral vector products for Phase 1-3 clinical trials both in the United States and internationally.
His expertise extends to GMP-compliant facility design and he has contributed significantly as a consultant on viral vector manufacturing and GMP facility design.
Johannes is also a valued member of the Editorial Board of Molecular Therapy – Methods & Clinical Development, showcasing his commitment to advancing the field of vector core services.
