Johannes Gehrke

Johannes Gehrke is a highly-accomplished technology executive with extensive experience bridging research and product. He has held various leadership roles throughout his career, including Managing Director, Technical Fellow, and Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft, where he built scalable and mission-critical cloud infrastructure and customer-facing products.

Gehrke has also been Visiting Faculty at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, Adjunct Professor at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway, Chief Scientist at Fast Search Transfer, Associate Director at Cornell University Center for Advanced Computing, and Professor at Cornell University. He is an ACM Fellow, IEEE Fellow, and has studied Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Universität Karlsruhe (TH).
