Njord Alternative Investments AS ("NAI") is a management company that specializes in investments in commercial property and venture capital. The company was started in 2019 and has an AIFM  license from the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority. NAI seeks to become a leading player in the Norwegian market for alternative investment funds. The ambition is to offer a wide range of equity and fixed income funds in the market for alternative asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity and other alternative investments.

• Interim CFO – of StartupLab AS, Norway's leading technology incubator/accelerator, as well
as investor in startups through the investment companies Founders Fund 1-2 and StartupLab Founders. (See section below).
• Consultant – for Tech startup developing interactive reading app for kids.
• CFO tasks – for innovative Building systems company entering growth phase.
•	Interim CFO – of River iGaming plc, a newly established iGaming company 
          that we listed on Merkur Markets in March 2018.
•	Advisor to Private Equity Co – on valuations, acqusition and divestiture of portfolio assets

•	Business development – Part of start-up team working on new disruptive business model within
          renewable energy and financing.
•	Consultant – supported CEO and CFO of newly established oil company in their attempt to fund

Private Investment Company. Business Development, and investments in Nordic stocks, hedge funds and bond funds.  (Co-founder of Explora Capital Management ASA, and co-founder and co-sponsor of Taiga Fund Management AS).

Chairman and owner

Alinea is an Investment Management company licensed by Finanstilsynet. Alinea manages Alinea Capital, a Swedish special fund, through a management agreement with ISEC Services AB (AIFM). Alinea Capital is supervised by Finansinspektionen. The fund is a special fund with a focus on the technology, media and entertainment industry (gaming-related, listed companies). Global mandate, with emphasis on Europe. 

The fund is in the process of being closed down, and Alinea will return its license to Finanstilsynet on 1 Dec 2023. The company will maintain parts of its operations, including the data platform "Alinea Analytics", as a commercial SaaS B2B platform.

CEO: 
• Structured the company's business plan and license application to Finanstilsynet.
• Prepared mandate, agreements and fund documents, and established the fund in collaboration with ISEC. 
• The CEO’s responsibilities include Board meetings and advice to the owners, strategy and development, legal, HR and payroll, as well as development and follow-up of collaboration agreements, systems, budget/finance and accounting/accountant/auditor.
• Overall responsibility for compliance and risk management, including compliance with instructions and routines.
• Dialogue and ongoing reporting to Finanstilsynet, including capital adequacy.

Senior Portfolio Manager:
• Team consisting of 5 employees – two portfolio managers, one analyst and two system developers.
• Managed the fund in collaboration with William Hatle (founder) and Rickard Linder (analyst).
• AuM of NOK 180 million, and was up 9.5% since the start, when we decided to close down.
• Portfolio consisting of approx. 20 shares (ranging from small European companies to Nintendo and Microsoft).
• The team developed "Alinea analytics", an information system specially adapted to the mandate. 
• My responsibility also included follow-up of the fund's administrator, fund accounts and custodian, as well as Investor relations (monthly reports, NAV reporting).

Startuplab is (as of 2020) Norway's leading Tech incubator / accelerator / seed investor and has supported more than 350 tech startups since its inception in 2012. Through Startuplab Founders / Founders Fund, Startuplab has invested in 90 of them. Startuplab collaborates with serial entrepreneurs, angel investors and leading Norwegian companies, building a strong and sustainable ecosystem around the startup companies, living the "Founders First" mantra. My tasks included:
•   CFO assignments for Startuplab AS, Founders Fund I and II AS, as well as Startuplab Founders AS.
•   Reporting to the management team and the boards of Startuplab and the investment companies.
•   Wide operational responsibility, from approving invoices (PowerofficeGo) to raising capital from investors.
•   Follow-up of the investment companies, - including new investments, follow-up of the portfolio companies, updating / development of the portfolio systems, and reporting to the investors.

Property company. Owner of the Arcus Group’s production, logistics and HQ at Gjelleråsen. 51,500 sqm. Construction finished in 2012/2013. Company was sold to Ragde Eiendom and Canica for NOK 1,25bn in December 2014.

Vidsjå is the investment company (family office) of the Thor Furuholmen family. Portfolio included investment management (Explora Capital Partners and Taiga Fund); property management (Furuholmen Eiendom); direct investments in among others ski resorts (Oslo Snowparks), renewable energy (Norwegian Crystals), property (Gjelleråsen eiendom), and shipping/offshore projects; equity investments (listed); Private Equity; as well as liquidity management.

Advisor to the Board, owners and management.  Present in all Board meetings, 2010 - 2014.
•	Took «ownership» of the development of the Tryvann Ski-resort in the period 2010 – 2014.
•	Functioned as strategic and operational CFO and business developer.
•	Restructured corporate structure, and refinanced company.
•	Facilitated the NOK 200m expansion of the ski-resort.
•	Raised NOK 150m in debt from banks.
•	Contact towards public authorities, raised NOK 36m in public funding.
•	Contributed in legal work, organizational development, marketing, and systems development.
•	Comprehensive review and work-through of all aspects of the company’s operations, including
        marketing, sales, pricing, organization (>100 seasonal employees), assets, systems, processes, etc.
•	Built new finance and operations team.

Taiga Fund Management AS (Previously: Explora Active Management AS):
•	Co-founder, Chairman from establishment (2007-2009), and Key Person in Taiga Fund.
•	Facilitated the establishment of Taiga Fund by restructuring Explora Investment Funds into an
        umbrella fund (QIF) prior to the selection of partners/managers of Taiga Fund Management.
•	Acted as sponsor, seed investor, advisor and Key Person for Taiga.
•	Gave Taiga access to Explora's licence, structure,  proprietary systems, network, suppliers, Prime Broker and investor relationships.
•	I supported Taiga by investing 10% of the equity at establishment, and was co-owner of the Taiga structure until November 2011.

Summary:  Founded and built a European hedge fund management company from scratch. Established and developed the company in collaboration with the seed investor Thor Johan Furuholmen, with initial funding from his family holding company, AS Vidsjå. At its peak, in 2007-08, ECM had 10 employees and €250 million in AUM. Main investors in the funds were primarily International Institutional Investors (85% of AUM in 2007). 

Co-Founder:
•	Developed the corporate strategy, and the Investment Management strategy for the Fund.
•	Established the Fund structure in Ireland, including contracts with suppliers and partners (Board, 
          Administrator, Custodian, Prime Broker, Auditor, Lawyers, etc.).
•	Established strong track record through proprietary systems, routines and reports.
•	Restructured the Fund into an umbrella-structure, to cater for further growth. 
•	Marketed the Fund, with great success, to international, institutional investors.
•	Grew AUM from NOK 20m in 2004 to more than NOK 2bn in 2007.
•	Sold my share of Explora to AS Vidsjå in November 2011.

Background: Explora Capital Management (ECM) was established in April 2003 to manage and promote the Explora European Small & Mid Cap Fund Plc, a long-short hedge fund investing primarily in European small & mid cap equities. Morgan Stanley was the Fund’s Prime Broker, and Daiwa Securities was the Fund’s Administrator and Custodian. ECM was regulated by The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway. The Fund structure, and Irish umbrella Qualified Investor Fund (QIF) structure, had €250 million in AUM in three different sub-funds at its peak in 2007-08. The Explora Small Cap sub-fund lost all its international, institutional investors during the financial crisis, as it was liquid, and was subsequently closed down in 2011. The remaining assets were transferred to ECM/Vidsjå to be managed in-house. The Fund structure was renamed Taiga Investment Funds Plc (Sub-fund no. 3), and is today managed by Taiga Fund Management with more than NOK 2.5bn in AUM.

The fund was closed down by December 2002, due market conditions and Reiten & Co’s strategic decision to focus their time and resources towards their core Private Equity business.
