Johan Jansen

Johan Jansen is a successful entrepreneur known for his ventures in the plant and tea industries. Owner of Special Plant Zundert & TEABYME, Johan is recognized as an innovator and upscaler with a passion for plants and tea. He specializes in unique varieties such as white and pink Gaultheria procumbens and winter hardy TEA plant genetics (camellia sinensis). A self-professed tea addict and activist, Johan is dedicated to promoting local tea through his brand JOAN local tea makers and facilitating the localization of tea production in Europe through Teabyme.

Johan pursued his educational endeavors at several institutions, including obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from HAS Den Bosch. His academic journey also involved studies at Markland and ROC Breda, laying a solid foundation for his future entrepreneurial undertakings.

Over the course of his career, Johan has been involved with various organizations, including serving as the owner of Tea by me and previously as the owner of Special Plant Zundert and FunctionalFruit. He also held the position of voorzitter tuinbouw at BAJK and gained valuable experience through internships at Syngenta and Viken Tomater AB, as well as working at JansenHoeven B.V.
