E-commerce architect
Johan Engström is an experienced entrepreneur and manager with almost 10 years of experience in the online auction house industry. He played a crucial role in shaping Sweden's leading online auction platform, managing cross-functional initiatives, and leading a 60-member team. His experience includes digital transformation, supply chain management, and international expansion.
For the past four years, Engström has run his own start-up in Stockholm and Berlin, offering a range of digital services, including an aggregator for high-end objects, a valuation service for the resale market, and affiliate marketing programs for brands. Additionally, he recently launched a Facebook community called "Lyxloppis," which has become Sweden's biggest curated buy & sell community for second-hand luxury items.
As the COO of a rapidly growing e-commerce organization, Engström has become adept in people operations, organizational strategy work, and change management. He advises early- and growth-stage startups, bringing his expertise in digital and social marketing strategy, e-commerce tactics, social commerce, online community building, product management, project and people management, lean startup methodology, lead generation, and data analysis.
Engström studied Graphic Design at SVEPS and received his MSc. in Entrepreneurship and Management with a minor in Information Systems Science from Hanken Svenska handelshögskolan.
