Joel Young

Joel Young is a Senior Executive in the M2M and Internet of Things marketplace with over 30 years of experience. He is a proven leader with expertise in driving technology strategy, managing design services business division, cloud and software product management, engineering management, and product development.

His unique skill set ranges from cloud solutions to wireless design, development, and deployment. Joel Young has a strong background in global business management and experience as a public company officer, technology vision and evangelism, extensive international experience, including China, India, Japan, and Europe, embedded systems, wireless and cellular technology, enterprise and commercial cloud technology, operations and development, driving business process solutions, as well as technology company acquisitions.

He pursued his education by studying Master of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California.

Joel Young has held key positions in various organizations, including Chief Technology Officer at Xirgo Technologies, LLC, and has been a board member at Geoforce and 3SI Security Systems. Previously, he was the founder of IoT Advisors, LLC, board chairman at IoT M2M Council (Formerly International M2M Council), and held roles in subsidiaries and senior positions at Digi International, Transcrypt International, and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
