Joel Van Dusen

Joel Van Dusen is a seasoned professional with a strong background in corporate and investment banking, known for his hands-on leadership style and strategic expertise. As the Head of Mashreq's Corporate and Investment Banking Group (CIBG), Joel leads a team of sectoral specialists and offers innovative corporate banking solutions.

With an impressive career history, Joel previously served as the Global Head of Large Corporates at HSBC, where he managed a global service spanning over 60 countries, specializing in credit, capital markets, structured products, advisory services, and more. He was also a key member of the Global CMB Executive Committee.

Before his tenure at HSBC, Joel held the position of Global Head of Corporate Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, overseeing a team that catered to 5,000 clients across 30 countries. His diverse expertise extends to working with larger corporations, middle-market clients, and financial institutions globally.

Apart from his corporate roles, Joel has been actively involved in various businesses within greentech, fintech, software, consumer, and retail sectors, offering guidance and support to drive operational improvements, sustainable growth, and value creation. His extensive experience covers banker coverage, sales and trading, financing products, cash management, and trade products.

Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Cornell University and pursued further studies in philosophy, politics, and economics at the University of Oxford.
