Joel Unruch

Joel Unruch is the general counsel and corporate secretary at Accenture, overseeing the company's global legal function and leading a team of legal professionals.

Joining Accenture in 2011, Joel has held various roles within the legal department, including assistant general counsel and assistant secretary before becoming corporate secretary in June 2015.

He has extensive experience in ventures & acquisitions, managing global acquisitions, dispositions, and strategic investments, as well as leading the alliances & ecosystems practice.

Before his time at Accenture, Joel worked at Amazon.com and the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate securities.

Joel is actively involved in various legal organizations, serving on the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity, Legal Services Corporation's Leaders Council, and the General Counsel 50 division of World 50.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Bachelor of Common Law degree, and Bachelor of Civil Law degree from McGill University, as well as a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School.
