Joel Summy is a seasoned business program management executive with expertise in strategic initiatives.

With a career that has evolved from software development in the early days of the internet to managing swap clearing operations post-crisis, Joel has most recently excelled as an enterprise leader during the commercial launch of CME Bitcoin Futures.

His diverse industry experience includes derivatives trading and clearing of futures, options, OTC, repo, and market data services, as well as technology proficiency in HTML 5 front ends, cloud-based computing, and blockchain solutions. Additionally, he has made significant contributions in the digital media and entertainment sectors, focusing on publishing and broadcasting.

Joel Summy pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Iowa, laying a solid academic foundation for his professional journey.

Throughout his career, Joel has held key roles in various organizations. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of Strategy and Execution at CME Group. Prior to this, he managed operations at the Tribune Publishing Company, worked as a Program Analyst II at CACI International Inc, represented students at Apple, and honed his sales skills at Stephens Clothing.
