Responsible for negotiating buyouts and new franchise deals, establishing and improving existing processes, monitoring the adherence to franchise law, and is the point of contact for banks on all financings.  Member of the Corporate Brand Development committee and the Approval board.

Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, responsible for managing and developing retail franchise operations.  Responsible for negotiating buyouts and new franchise deals, establishing and improving existing processes, monitoring the adherence to franchise law, point of contact for banks on all financings and ensuring all documentation was correct.  Managed a staff of five direct reports and oversaw a sales revenue target of over $90 million.  Review the financial structures and financial operating efficiencies and ensure the achievement of financial strength, stability and increased profitability for franchises.

Responsible for all aspects of franchising for a rapid expanding company.  Which included screening, approval and documentation, negotiation and documentation of development agreements, market planning with multi-unit development potential – advertising, re-franchising corporate restaurants, renewal and successor process, real estate for Atlantic Canada, setting up Trade shows – ICSC and franchisee relationships.

Responsible for the Canadian Market, including leasing, department marketing strategies/sales development, co-branding, department development initiatives, media campaign, building international franchise database, department forecasting sales and budget controls, franchisee and financial institution relationships and interviewing potential franchisees.

Operational Side of the Business

•Supervised 90 stores in Montreal, Ottawa and Eastern Toronto.  Each market achieved 7% growth compared to 3% growth in the rest of Canada.
•All stores achieved 85% or better on operational reports.
