Joel Cognevich
Joel Cognevich is a Louisiana-based registered architect with over 23 years of professional experience in the discipline of architecture. Over the course of his career, he has worked on various retail and hospitality projects ranging from fast-food restaurants, spas, resorts, multi-functional buildings, and conference centers. Cognevich's mantra is to see architecture as a direct response to humanity's fundamental needs, creating and manipulating space while fulfilling today's necessities. His client-centric design philosophy views his customers as partners in the design process, and he enjoys working collaboratively to shape the project's scope and focused direction to achieve successful results. Cognevich earned his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he studied the principles and practices of architectural design. He holds a license to practice architecture in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is a former independent consultant at Chase Collaborative, registered architect at Art+Texture, project manager at Mitchell Carlson Stone, Inc., Levinson Associates, and KSA Architects. He worked as an architectural draftsman at Design Automation and part-time draftsman at Viator and Associates.
