Joe Thibodeau
Deputy Organizing Director at Ed Markey for U.S. Senate
Joe Thibodeau is the Statewide Organizing Director at the Massachusetts Democratic Party. He has a strong background in public service and political strategy, having previously worked as a government and campaign staffer for notable figures such as United States Senator Ed Markey, Congresswoman Lori Trahan, and Massachusetts State Senator Barbara L’Italien. His roles have included positions as a District Director and Field Director, emphasizing his expertise in coalition building and community engagement.12
Thibodeau is also a 3L Public Service Scholar at Boston College Law School, where he has been involved in various legal and public policy initiatives. He graduated cum laude from Tufts University, majoring in American Studies and International Relations. His interests lie primarily in civil rights, public policy, and community organizing.13
In addition to his current role with the Massachusetts Democratic Party, Thibodeau served as a 2023 Rappaport Fellow, interning at the Legal Counsel’s Office of Governor Maura Healey, which further underscores his commitment to public service and legal advocacy.1
