Joe Sekiya is a Senior Project Manager at Vitalant Research Institute. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional professional abilities and a commitment to improving healthcare services and delivery within our state.2
Joe Sekiya was born and grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He attended Wheat Ridge High School where he and his friends first started to make movies for class projects.1 After graduating in 1997, Joe attended Metro State College with an interest in Marketing.
In 1998, Joe met Jamin Winans and together they formed Double Edge Films with the intent to produce thought-provoking films reminiscent of the ones they loved while growing up.1 Double Edge Films produced several short films like Blanston and The Maze, and the feature film 11:59 which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2005.1
Most recently, Joe produced another short film titled SPIN about a DJ who can turn back time with his turntables. SPIN has played in over 60 film festivals and won over 40 awards.1 In 2006, Joe moved to Los Angeles and worked as an agent at Imperium 7 Talent Agency before joining Vitalant Research Institute as a Senior Project Manager.12
