Joe Pimentel, MBA, BSN

Joe Pimentel is a Senior Healthcare Executive who drives sweeping impact to operational performance, service line growth and patient care. Throughout his distinguished career, Joe has served in a leadership role in every hospital dept. —from Director of Emergency Services to VP of Patient Care Services to Vice President of a 15 system Urgent Care division. Along the way, he gained broad exposure to leadership in a variety of settings, including for-profit, faith-based, academic and community settings, that allowed him to apply tried and true principles of operational excellence to some of the most relevant issues facing healthcare organizations today. This experience has enabled Joe to repeatedly develop breakthrough solutions for business challenges and deliver positive change that produces sustainable success.

In 2006, Joe formed Gold Mountain Consultants, an independent consulting practice that provides both short and long-term interim C-suite leadership services to multi-hospital systems, acute care facilities, Ambulatory urgent care centers and academic medical centers nationwide. Joe leverages his dual operations and clinical background to help organizations build and/or turn around emergency departments, ICUs, Urgent Cares and CICUs, as well as deploy Just-in-Time staffing models, enhance physician alignment and implement EMR, among other initiatives. A data-driven decision maker, he brings a keen ability to quickly size up key issues that others have missed, set a new vision and devise action plans that are embraced by stakeholders at every level.

Prior to entering the healthcare field, Joe spent 10 years in business development in the Far East including work for several Singapore-based international trading companies. By directing projects in 16 countries throughout the Far East and South Pacific, he gained a global view and multi-cultural sensitivity that today allows him to create relevant, effective healthcare for diverse communities coast to coast.
